Notification Channels

ShopRail Stock Alerts supports three notification channels: Email, Slack, and Discord.

The free tier includes 1 channel. Upgrade to Pro for unlimited channels.

Adding a channel

1. Open Stock Alerts and go to the Notification Channels tab.
2. Click Add channel.
3. Choose the channel type and follow the setup steps below.

Email

Enter one or more email addresses to receive alerts.

Alerts are sent from alerts@shoprail.io. Add this address to your contacts to avoid spam filtering.

Slack

1. In your Slack workspace, go to Apps → search for “Incoming Webhooks” → Add to Slack.
2. Choose the channel where alerts should be posted.
3. Copy the Webhook URL.
4. Paste the webhook URL into ShopRail and click Save.

Tip

Create a dedicated #stock-alerts Slack channel to keep notifications organised.

Discord

1. In your Discord server, go to Server Settings → Integrations → Webhooks.
2. Click New Webhook, name it (e.g. “ShopRail”), and choose the channel.
3. Click Copy Webhook URL.
4. Paste the webhook URL into ShopRail and click Save.

Testing a channel

After adding a channel, click Send test to verify it’s working. You’ll receive a test notification immediately.

Managing channels

• Rename channels to make them identifiable (e.g. “Warehouse Slack”).
• Disable a channel temporarily without deleting it.
• Delete a channel — alert rules using it will no longer send to it.
